Testing and qualityJellyBlue Testing and Quality: Nine Seller Badges, One Registered Facility, One Lot
The seller shows nine badges with JellyBlue, from Made in the USA and GMP to a registered-facility roundel. Only Made in the USA is also printed on the label, and each badge describes the plant or the recipe rather than a test result on the gummy.
The FDA does not approve supplements before sale. What a buyer can check is the label, the lot line and the safety seal; below, each badge is read for what it does and does not cover.
Nine JellyBlue seller badges, and what each one covers
Every badge the seller shows online, with the plain meaning of each. The label prints one of them, Made in the USA, as a line of text.
A registered facility is not FDA approval: the roundel shown with JellyBlue
The one seller badge most often misread, and the four facts that place it.
Registration covers the plant
Food facilities that make products for the US market register with the FDA. The roundel says the plant is registered; it says nothing about the gummy itself.
Approval is for drugs
NCCIH puts it directly: unlike drugs, dietary supplements are not approved by the FDA before they are sold to the public.
The label rules still apply
21 CFR 101.36 sets how the panel must be written, including an amount for every ingredient outside a declared blend.
Action comes after sale
The FDA can act when a public health concern arises about a supplement. Makers and distributors are responsible for safety and labelling first.
What the GMP badge means for JellyBlue
Three letters, a set of federal rules, and the part a buyer can see.
The magenta GMP badge the seller shows stands for Good Manufacturing Practice; it is not printed on the label. In the US, federal current good manufacturing practice rules apply to every company that makes, packs or holds a dietary supplement for sale, whether or not it prints a seal about it.
What the rules ask of a plant
- Written procedures for each step, and records that the steps were followed
- Identity checks on incoming ingredients
- Specifications for the finished product and a way to check them
- Batch records that let a lot be traced after sale
What the badge adds
A badge is the seller’s statement that the plant works to those rules. This one names no certifying body, so it is not an audit certificate. The lot, printed on the base when the bottle shows one (JEL-26/GO-5083 on this run), is the part of the system a buyer can actually hold.
NCCIH’s summary of the federal rules puts the responsibility plainly: companies must have evidence that their supplements are safe, must make sure their labels are truthful and not misleading, and must produce them in a quality manner, free of contaminants.
What quality means for a JellyBlue gummy
A chew is harder to make consistently than a capsule. Five measures show why.
Gummies make the quality job harder than capsules do. A capsule is a shell and a powder; a gummy is a cooked, set, sweetened chew that has to hold its shape, its moisture and its actives from the plant to the last bottle of a six-month order.
A 2024 study of six gummy brands measured the properties that could become specification limits for the format, precisely because agreed limits are still scarce. Its measured ranges are a useful picture of what a well-made gummy is.
| Property | Range measured across six brands | What it tells you |
|---|---|---|
| Hardness | 2.984 to 7.453 N | How firm the chew is at first bite |
| Chewiness | 2.780 to 6.753 N | How much work it takes to chew |
| Moisture content | Under 5% | Too much water softens and fuses gummies |
| Weight uniformity | Under 2.5 g, under 7.5% deviation | Whether each gummy is the same size, and so the same serving |
| Dissolution pH | 3.5 to 6.8 | How acidic the chew is in the mouth |
Ranges from the 2024 abstract. They describe the gummies that study measured, not this product.
Gummies that have fused into a block, sweated or gone hard usually met heat or damp in transit or storage. Keep the bottle cool, dry and closed, and photograph anything that arrives that way for order support.
JellyBlue quality facts in four numbers
What the bottle states, and what this desk checked before printing it.
Why the JellyBlue category is tested more than most
Male vitality products carry the worst adulteration record of any supplement shelf. Three findings explain the caution.
Undeclared drugs
FDA warnings from 2007 to 2016 covered 776 adulterated supplements. 353 were sold for sexual enhancement, and sildenafil was found in 166 of those.
A worldwide pattern
A 2021 review of sexual enhancement supplements found phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors to be the main hidden drugs, and warned of liver, kidney and stroke events linked to them.
Heavy metals
A Malaysian survey of 100 tongkat ali products found 36 with 0.52 to 5.30 ppm of mercury, above that country’s limit for traditional medicines.
None of these studies tested this gummy. They describe the shelf it sits on. A named seller, a lot on the base, a panel with every amount and a claim no bigger than the label are the signals that separate a supplement from the products those warnings describe. A gummy that promises an effect within the hour is the warning sign.
How this desk checked the JellyBlue label
Four steps before a figure goes on a page, repeated at every update.
Read the artwork
The Supplement Facts panel was read off a three-times enlargement, row by row, including the unit slips and the spellings.
Counted the actives
Seven rows, seven amounts, 650 mg. The seller’s graphics show five and six; the panel is the one quoted.
Dated the prices
Pack prices were read off the seller’s order page on 21 September 2026 and are printed with that date.
Checked every citation
Each PubMed number was looked up in NCBI’s records for author, year, journal and title, and screened for retractions.
What nobody has yet tested in JellyBlue
Four open questions a buyer should weigh before relying on any badge or code.
The contents against the panel
No independent assay has been published, so the amounts are the label’s own figures.
The tongkat ali preparation
The trials that used 200 mg named a standardised water extract. The label names an extract without saying which one.
The Doctor Formulated badge
Who wrote the recipe is not on record anywhere a buyer can read, so the badge cannot be matched to a name or a qualification.
The GMO free badge
It rests on the supplier’s word about its raw materials; no published test stands behind it.
Checks a JellyBlue buyer can run at home
Three minutes with the bottle does more than any seal.
Seal intact
Under the lid, before the first gummy. A damaged seal means the bottle goes back.
Panel matches
Seven rows and 650 mg in total, as on the facts page.
Lot recorded
Write the lot from the base into the order email thread, so it is found with the purchase date.
JellyBlue testing and quality: frequently asked questions
Does the FDA approve JellyBlue before it is sold?
No, and no dietary supplement is: the FDA does not approve supplements before they are sold. The blue roundel among the seller’s web badges reads REGISTERED FACILITY, which is a statement about the plant where the gummies are made. It is not printed on the label.
Has JellyBlue been tested by an independent laboratory?
No independent assay of this product has been published. The lot and certificate reference on this run are filing references for production paperwork. This desk says so plainly rather than implying a laboratory it cannot name.
What does the GMP badge shown with JellyBlue mean?
Good Manufacturing Practice describes how a plant is run: records, cleaning, identity checks on ingredients. The badge is one the seller shows online, not a mark on the label, and it names no certifying body, so it is a statement rather than an audit result.
Who formulated JellyBlue?
The seller shows a Doctor Formulated badge online, but no clinician is named anywhere on the label. The company named on the label is Gex Corporation LLP, in its DISTRIBUTED BY block.
Is JellyBlue vegetarian?
The gummy is set with pectin, a fruit fibre, rather than gelatin, and the other ingredients name no animal product. The seller’s vegetarian badge matches that; the label itself prints no vegetarian mark.
